It’s funny how that has been my experience setting up a company in a new category too: the journey was never linear or straightforward. It was like a roller coaster, with highs and lows, or rallying across uncharted territory where you never know what you’ll find or what to expect.
When we decided to launch our startup in Portugal, we felt that the local ecosystem was very closed, unapproachable and with a lack of vision. Shilling was the only fund that was different. So we chose them and it’s been good having them in our team: very approachable, easy to communicate and work with and always willing to help. And we always have the feeling like they have our backs - they’re super supportive.
They’re helping us build Biocol Labs, a global brand in the making that is at the forefront of a new movement called "natural OTCs". It won’t be linear or straightforward, we know, but in the end we will change the way people think about healing with and through nature. It’s in our nature.
