I even quit my last job - and that wasn’t an easy decision to make. Possibly the toughest I’ve taken so far. But it’s been super rewarding: my journey at Barkyn has been full of big achievements. Right now, I’m most proud of having succeeded creating a great Operations team. But if you ask me the same question again, further on down the road, I’ll be super proud of something else.

It was easy, I think, to pick Shilling to be our partners: they struck me as being, by far, the most complete and professional investors in Portugal for early stage companies like Barkyn. And their team of experienced partners: that counted a lot more than just access to money. Being able to count on somebody like Pedro Carlos, who had experience in our market, was priceless.

They’ve been there with us, and for us, ever since. In the good times their job is easier, obviously. But it’s having their support in the tough times that really matters to us.
